We Love animals and look after all different kinds of pets.
This means our services cover a wide spectrum of needs from dog walks to popping in while you are away to feed your cat, have playtime and even grooming. Our basic services are listed below and price can depend on number of pets, length of placement etc…
But if you are in need of a services that isn’t listed here, please just ask!
Dog Walking
We walk dogs on their own with options starting from 1/2 hour per walk for one dog. If you have a multi-dog household or your dog and their friend like to be walked together, please enquire.

Feeding Visits
Perfect if your pet just needs to be fed, watered and possibly have some cuddles and play-time. A minimum visit is up to 30 minutes, But 1 hour visits are also available. A dog basic visit is always a minimum of 30 minutes.

Day sitting
Half day or whole day visit in your home, includes walks and feeds during that time. This service usually applies to dogs but sometimes we are asked to watch cats, especially kittens.

house sitting
House sitting is great option so your pets stay in their own environment where they feel at home and safe but also provides security for your house. If your pet needs 24/7 supervision, get in touch, we can provide two sitters where needed.

If ever a pet sitter gets sick or has an emergency, there is a supervisor for the area and the team who is local and can arrange keys collected and cover for the feeding visits/walk or any hours covered minding your dog, cat or other pet.
This doesn’t happen often, but is an extra support and reassurance that your pet will be safe, cared for and fed while you are away.
It also means if your regular sitter through Star Animal Care is not available for the dates you need, you know there is another sitter who is just as well trained, experienced and has the same high values and love for animals. We know how it can be a real inconvenience when your regular dog walker or pet sitter isn’t available and finding someone who meets the same expectations can be a tricky task, so we can do that for you.
You will of course have a meet and greet with any new sitter who will work for you.

Meet Sinead
I’m Sinead and I have a decade of experience working with animals including dog walking, pet sitting and house sitting. Click here to find out why I turned my love for animal into a business!
Why Us?
We are a growing local team of pet sitters, who hold relevant Animal Care qualifications and have experience working with and owning pets. We are responsible, reliable and have a love and compassion for animals and an understanding that pets are family.
As it stands, I (Sinead) do the majority of the pet sitting but I give work experience, under my supervision, to carefully vetted Animal Care students and graduates who would like a career with animals. It’s only when I know a person is reliable, responsible, great with animals that I would set them up to have a meet and greet with you. I’ll soon be introducing you to my team of regular, expert Star Carers – so watch this space!
We understand how tough it can be to leave your beloved animal at home and also to trust another person with your home and keys. This is why we promise to leave your home as we found it or in better condition and your pets happy and healthy, just like we would look after our own.

All animals we care for are stars, they always hold a place in our hearts and we have many animals that are now part of our extended family. Here are some of our longest standing clients.
Star the tabby cat (top right)
Star is an old girl but great for her age, she still pounces, leaps, jumps up and down from high surfaces. Her eyesight and hearing are sharp! She is an incredibly affectionate cat and it didn’t take long for her to win my heart! She’s a regular Star pet.
Mowgli the black Labrador (top left)
I have been walking Mowgli for over 2 years and people often mistake him for my own dog because we have such a strong bond. Mowgli is playful, happy, cheeky and adores “his” people. He’s a typical lab and of course, loves his food too, so we have to be careful about him scavenging! He’s the gentlest, sweetest soul.
Lottie the Rottie, Luna the Staffie/Whippet cross & Milly the Yorkie/Daschund AKA “The Girls” (bottom left)
They each have their own gorgeous and hilarious personalities and together they are “the good kind of madness” Hilarious, adorable and absolutely love my visits – to the point of doing backflips sometimes, they’re so excited!!
